Oops I did it again...

Last nights riding lesson was fun, I fell off Minky again!

I said to my riding teacher that I had a reasonably bad fall and that I wanted to do jumping for my lesson so that I didn't loose any confidence, which is all well and good except Minky decided to act like a spack head, and refuse a jump.

I was still a little nervy from falling off the day before, so I wasn't planning to mess around.
So with that I gave Minky a hard kick, and Minky decides to do a gigantic bunny hop over the fence and I slid off the saddle and landed flat on my bottom.

Luckily I didn't get hurt and I continued on with my lesson, and I continued to jump until the lesson ended.

The main thing was, that I took some time to rebuild my confidence and even though I got hurt on Sunday, I was going to ride, whether I was in pain or not.

Minky might have bunny-hopped the jump... but she did go over the jump, which proves she was paying attention to you and is learning to do what you want, not what she wants. And good for you for picking yourself up and getting right back on her.

Way to go! I once had a bad fall in a horse show and lost my confidence. I too had a wonderful trainer to work me through the fear and regain my confidence! I'd bet your trainer is quite proud of you--your dad surely is. *G*

As for Ms. Minky...she will soon learn dropping you off accomplishing nothing but more work. And she did jump well afterwards, so that's a really good sign your training is progressing.
