Thank you to the people from my Dads website, who took the time to come and see my blog.
I really like the support you guys have given me in the last few weeks, and I do hope you pop by and check for updates because I really do value the advice you give.
Thanks for the supporting my decision to keep Minky, I thought it was the right thing to do not only by me, but by her as well.
And lastly, thank you for the nice comments, you guys are also lovely.
Oh, and on one last note, I never ended up riding through the dam the other day, it was far too hot ! I would of melted into a pile of yukky, sticky goop. (that does not sound good at all)
Anyways, I'm going now, Dad will probably want to get on the computer and make a post of his own.
see you later xxx Katie

I keep forgetting it is summer there. Here in NJ, USA, winter in on the way.
Our summer was stinky hot, melty gooey too. I don't know how many days I did not ride because of the heat. There is no reason to be that miserable when you ride...especially when you are just trying to have fun!
So, tell us about the dam. Sounds like an interesting ride.
Hey, by the way, since I'm an English teacher, I can give you an "A" on this project. You really do write well. *G*
BTW, I'm Muzzy on your Dad's blog.
I love this blog. I'm so looking forward to watching your progress with Minky - from the pics I've seen, you've got a real good seat... and I've hear a rumor that you're a fearless jumper!
well muzzy,
thanks for all the nice comments :)
i am pretty fearless now when it comes to jumping however, i would never do anything that would hurt minky or myself... i have been working on those releses on the jumps and now minky is much happer jumping.
and i love it too its so much fun...and to think i used to hate jumping, it wasent all that long ago when i was too scared to jump a ground pole! :( but im much better now and thats all i could ask for.
the dam is in our back paddock, and that paddock has 21 shetlands in it! so everytime i want to go in there i have to heard the shetlands out first.
it is said that those shetlands are so friendly, that once you go in there you will never return because they crowd around you and block you from getting to the gate!
minky would be so scared! she already has a dis liking to them.
i have a funny feeling that she would probably jump over them if they tried to crowd her as much as they do, i cant even get in there with out my own welcoming commitee.
Next time you go in among the Shetlands, send Toothy in first, he's a total chick magnet and they'll all follow him around and leave you and Minky alone!
Okay Miss Katie, I am trying this again. I am glad you kept Minky. Smart girl. Nice blog too. Is there a recent picture of Toothy with out the winter coat? (We bug your dad for pictures all the time. Welcome to it.)
I am Kathy in SC, btw.
Jean, where in Jersey are you? I am a Bergen/Ocean County girl from a way back....
I've been reading your dad's blog since Bazzy was writing it, nice to see your work here!
I'm in Hamerica too - this time of year the days are too short and windy to get much riding in, so I'll have to get my horsey-fix through my Australian friends :)
Keep up the good work - both riding and writing.
Hya from Mad Auntie Tricia in the UK - it's greet that you're blogging but try not to get too addicted.
I have stopped counting my blogs now I have more than 20.
I have that many that I don't have a clue where some of them are - EEEK!!
Kathy, I am in Central New Jersey, near Princeton/New Brunswick. Been here all my life.
Kind of grown attached to the place!
H-m-mm. A swarm of Shetlands. Overly friendly horses, no matter what size, can be a real annoyance. Maybe Minky could just jump them! Sure would be interesting. *lol*
yes well, one over friendly horse is enough, but 22 of them is just a pain in the tail, and i am serious when i say they wont let you out... i end up having to scare them away with the dressage whip (thats if i want to get out before bed time)
I went to the owner of our property the other day, and i saw there shetland foals... oh my goodness there were just the cutest little ball of fluff i have ever seen... i just wanted to scoop one up and add it to my teddy collection back at home.
they would have been REALLY little foal balls not too long ago, they would of made cherry's foal ball look like a giant!
they were just too much.
